|Board names stage at PHS community auditorium after long-time board member|
|Wednesday, April 11, 2018|
The Pattonville Board of Education bid farewell and thanks to a longtime school board member during its April 10 meeting. Ralph Stahlhut, who served on the board for 28 years, decided not to run for re-election this year. In tribute to Stahlhut, the board approved a resolution naming the stage at the Pattonville High School community auditorium "Stahlhut's Stage."
Stahlhut concludes a long volunteer career in Pattonville, during which time he held every leadership position on the school board (president, vice president, secretary and treasurer) and served on numerous district committees. He has been a longtime supporter of Pattonville students, regularly attending their activities and athletic events, and has been a key member of the board as Pattonville's student achievement has increased and facilities were improved.
Stahlhut’s family was on hand as the board unveiled a plaque commemorating the stage’s new name. A longtime Maryland Heights resident, Stahlhut and his wife, Carole, are the parents of two Pattonville graduates, both of whom work in the education field.
