Accelerated Reader (AR) is a motivational/reward program based on student selection of books on their reading level. After a book is read, the student takes a quiz to determine their level of comprehension. Points are awarded to the student according to their quiz score and the level of difficulty of the book. Each class sets aside class time to read AR books. Library books are marked with colored dots and labels to help students in the selection of books.
