KINDERGARTEN

Dear Parents,

Many stores have good sales on school supplies during the summer and our Kindergartners will be excited about getting their school things. The following list may help you in doing your school shopping.

EACH CHILD SHOULD BRING:

1. A large book bag with FIRST & LAST NAME on it (no rolling bookbags)

2. A pencil box (cigar box size)

3. Crayons – 1 box of 24 or 48 crayons

4. Scissors – FISKARS

5. 4 pocket folders – not labeled

Each child SHOULD ALSO BRING the following items collected and used all year long.

Please bring these items on the first day of school, Thursday, August 14, 2008.

1. 2 rolls of paper towels

2. 2 boxes of tissues

3. 15 glue sticks

4. Markers – thick line, basic (“classic”) 8 colors

5. Yellow pencils, at least 1 dozen

6. 4 dry erase markers (not yellow)

7. 1 large box Ziploc plastic bags (ANY size)

8. Hand sanitizer

9. Paper bags

FIRST GRADE

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to meeting and working with you and your child in first grade. It is an exciting time to explore new and wonderful things. During the year we will be stressing cooperation, with an emphasis on community in both our working and learning. The following is a list of the school supplies needed to prepare your child for a successful year.

The First Grade Teachers

Book Bag: one to bring back and forth everyday (please, no rolling bookbags)

Pencils: 1 box of plain, yellow #2 pencils with erasers

Crayons: 1 box of 24 assorted colors labeled (no glitter crayons)

Markers: 1 box of watercolor markers

Glue: 5 large glue sticks labeled (no bottles of glue)

Scissors: 1 pair labeled

Folders: 2 folders (1 blue and 1 red), one folder with choice of design (child’s name only on designed one)

Ziploc Bags: 1 box of quart size plastic bags

Kleenex: 2 large boxes of Kleenex

Ruler: 12” ruler

Antibacterial gel: one 8 oz bottle of antibacterial gel please!

Dry Erase Markers: 1 pack (1C and 1T classes only)

Paper Towels: 2 packs

SECOND GRADE

Please leave all supplies unmarked. Supplies will be collected and used as community supplies. Your child does not need a school box or binder/trapper keeper. Thank you!

Backpack: (please, no rolling backpacks)

Pencils: 10-15 #2 pencils

Red Pens: 3 red ink pens

Crayons: 1 box of 24 ct. Crayola crayons

Markers: 1 box of Crayola broad tip markers

1 box of Crayola thin tip markers

2 black dry erase markers

Glue: 6 glue sticks

Erasers: 2 medium sized erasers

10 pencil top erasers

Scissors: 1 small Fiskar pointed tip scissors

Folders: 1 two-pocket red folder

1 two-pocket yellow folder

1 two-pocket blue folder

2 two-pocket any design folders

Notebooks: 2 wide rule spiral notebooks

Tissues: 1-2 large family size box of tissues

Paper Towel: 1 roll of paper towels

Coins: 4 quarters, 10 dimes, 5 nickels, 20 pennies in a small ziploc bag

(these will be used for math – please mark bag with name)

Optional: 1 bag of individual wrapped candy (possible suggestions:
Dum Dum suckers Smarties, Sprees, M & M’s, Snickers, Hersheys, etc.)

Optional: 1 box of any size ziploc bags

1 bottle of hand sanitizer

THIRD GRADE

Please leave your child’s supplies UNMARKED. No pencil boxes are needed. Supplies will be collected at school.

Headphones: 1 inexpensive pair (you can get them from the dollar store or (Deals)

Pencils: 1 pack of 20 #2 pencils

Markers: 2 dry erase markers

Erasers: 2 large erasers (not pencil toppers)

Folders: 4 two-pocket folders (2 red, 1 green, 1 blue)

1 two-pocket folder (child’s choice)

Glue: 3 large glue sticks

Tissue: 2 large family style boxes of tissues

Boys: 1 pack of skinny Crayola markers

Girls: 1 pack of regular Crayola markers
